9 Thus saith the Lord to me: Go, and stand in the gate of the children of the people, by which the kings of Juda come in, and go out, and in all the gates of Jerusalem:


3 This is the portion of a wicked man with God, and the inheritance of the violent, which they shall receive of the Almighty.


6 Who only hath immortality, and inhabiteth light inaccessible, whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honour and empire everlasting. Amen.


3 O forgive me, that I may be refreshed, before I go hence, and be no more.


You have condemned and put to death the Just One, and he resisted you not.


2 And we beseech you, brethren, to know them who labour among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you:


8 Truly you bear witness that you consent to the doings of your fathers: for they indeed killed them, and you build their sepulchres.


6 For thee my flesh and my heart hath fainted away: thou art the God of my heart, and the God that is my portion for ever.


The shield of his mighty men is like fire, the men of the army are clad in scarlet, the reins of the chariot are flaming in the day of his preparation, and the drivers are stupefied.


5 As a roaring lion, and a hungry bear, so is a wicked prince over the poor people.


1 By the blessing of the just the city shall be exalted: and by the mouth of the wicked it shall be overthrown.


7 But their heart was not right with him: nor were they counted faithful in his covenant.


They came to that place where it was written, how Mardochai had discovered the treason of Bagathan and Thares the eunuchs, who sought to kill king Assuerus.


7 For when he shall die he shall take nothing away; nor shall his glory descend with him.


He that walketh sincerely, walketh confidently: but he that perverteth his ways, shall be manifest.


4 The law of the wise is a fountain of life, that he may decline from the ruin of death.

Calling to mind that faith which is in thee unfeigned, which also dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and in thy mother Eunice, and I am certain that in thee also.
