Or shall find a thing lost, and denying it, shall also swear falsely, or shall do any other of the many things, wherein men are wont to sin:


3 The ringtail, and the vulture, and the kite according to their kind:


1 Speak to Zorobabel the governor of Juda, saying: I will move both heaven and earth.


6 The ostrich, and the owl, and the larus, and the hawk according to its kind.


For although I made you sorrowful by my epistle, I do not repent; and if I did repent, seeing that the same epistle (although but for a time) did make you sorrowful;


2 Woe to you lawyers, for you have taken away the key of knowledge: you yourselves have not entered in, and those that were entering in, you have hindered.


Surely he hath borne our infirmities and carried our sorrows: and we have thought him as it were a leper, and as one struck by God and afflicted.


We will rejoice in thy salvation; and in the name of our God we shall be exalted.


6 Moreover you shall not eat the blood of any creature whatsoever, whether of birds or beasts.


And of its blood he shall sprinkle the side of the altar, and whatsoever is left, he shall let it drop at the bottom thereof, because it is for sin.


8 And he shall put of the same blood on the horns of the altar that is before the Lord, in the tabernacle of the testimony: and the rest of the blood he shall pour at the foot of the altar of holocaust, which is at the door of the tabernacle of the testimony.


And he shall give them to the priest: who shall offer the first for sin, and twist back the head of it to the little pinions, so that it stick to the neck, and be not altogether broken off.


3 Of birds these are they which you must not eat, and which are to be avoided by you: The eagle, and the griffon, and the osprey,


Why have you made us come up out of Egypt, and have brought us into this wretched place which cannot be sowed, nor bringeth forth figs, nor vines, nor pomegranates, neither is there any water to drink?
