5 But the priests, and Levites, the sons of Sadoc, who kept the ceremonies or my sanctuary, when the children of Israel went astray from me, they shall come near to me, to minister to me: and they shall stand before me, to offer me the fat, and the blood, saith the Lord God.


9 And they stoned Stephen, invoking, and saying: Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.


2 A full wind from these places shall come to me: and now I will speak my judgments with them.


1 But yet in the embassy of the princes of Babylon, that were sent to him, to inquire of the wonder that had happened upon the earth, God left him that he might be tempted, and all things might be made known that were in his heart.


And Josaphat said to the king of Israel: As I am, so art thou: my people and thy people are one: and my horsemen, thy horsemen. And Josaphat said to the king of Israel: Inquire, I beseech thee, this day, the word of the Lord.


0 If then you be dead with Christ from the elements of this world, why do you yet decree as though living in the world?


2 Not as though I has already attained, or were already perfect; but I follow after, if I may by any means apprehend, wherein I am also apprehended by Christ Jesus.


Son of man, set thy face toward Jerusalem, and let thy speech flow towards the holy places, and prophesy against the land of Israel:


8 Therefore hear, ye nations, and know, O congregation, what great things I will do to them.


1 This commandment, that I command thee this day is not above thee, nor far off from thee:


5 But if you bite and devour one another; take heed you be not consumed one of another.


2 Which when Jesus had heard, he said to him: Yet one thing is wanting to thee: sell all whatever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me.


9 And another said: I have bought five yoke of oxen, and I go to try them: I pray thee, hold me excused.


0 He therefore that sweareth by the altar, sweareth by it, and by all things that are upon it:


7 And when they shall enter in at the gates of the inner court, they shall be clothed with linen garments: neither shall any woollen come upon them, when they minister in the gates of the inner court and within.


Now is an end come upon thee, and I will send my wrath upon thee, and I will judge thee according to thy ways: and I will set all thy abominations against thee.


And he put a new canticle into my mouth, a song to our God. Many shall see, and shall fear : and they shall hope in the Lord.


8 and because of all this we ourselves make a covenant, and write it, and our princes, our Levites, and our priests sign it.


So Esdras arose, and made the chiefs of the priests and of the Levites, and all Israel, to swear that they would do according to this word, and they swore.


Let us make a covenant with the Lord our God, to put away all the wives, and such as are born of them, according to the will of the Lord, and of them that fear the commandment of the Lord our God: let it be done according to the law.


And in the eighth year of his reign, when he was yet a boy, he began to seek the God of his father David: and in the twelfth year after he began to reign, he cleansed Juda and Jerusalem from the high places, and the groves, and the idols, and the graven things.


4 And his servants conspired against him, and slew him in his own house.


In the eighteenth year of king Jeroboam, Abia reigned over Juda.


And they shall fill thy houses, and the houses of thy servants, and of all the Egyptians: such a number as thy fathers have not seen, nor thy grandfathers, from the time they were first upon the earth, until this present day. And he turned himself away, and went forth from Pharao.


9 So that you shall eat the flesh of your sons and of your daughters.


3 And I will scatter you among the Gentiles, and I will draw out the sword after you, and your land shall be desert, and your cities destroyed.


2 Speak to the children of Israel, and thou shalt say to them: The man whose wife shall have gone astray, and contemning her husband,


1 He is thy praise, and thy God, that hath done for thee these great and terrible things, which thy eyes have seen.


6 Take this book, and put it in the side of the ark of the covenant of the Lord your God: that it may be there for a testimony against thee.


And I shall have made their land a wilderness, and desolate, because they have been transgressors, saith the Lord God.
