0 He that striketh his bondman or bondwoman with a rod, and they die under his hands, shall be guilty of the crime.


8 And he saith to them: So are you also without knowledge? understand you not that every thing from without, entering into a man cannot defile him:


1 Cursed be he that lieth with any beast: and all the people shall say: Amen.


2 Then came his disciples, and said to him: Dost thou know that the Pharisees, when they heard this word, were scandalized?


7 The spirit of a man is the lamp of the Lord, which searcheth all the hidden things of the bowels.


4 There are four very little things of the earth, and they are wiser than the wise:


8 Three things are hard to me, and the fourth I am utterly ignorant of.


1 Ye mountains of Gelboe, let neither dew, nor rain come upon you, neither be they fields of firstfruits: for there was cast away the shield of the valiant, the shield of Saul as though he had not been anointed with oil.


9 Would to God that some man would put this people under my hand, that I might remove Abimelech out of the way. And it was said to Abimelech: Gather together the multitude of an army, and come.


3 And they came to the place that is called Golgotha, which is the place of Calvary.


7 For on what day soever thou shalt go out, and shalt pass over the brook Cedron, know that thou shalt be put to death: thy blood shall be upon thy own head:


4 And said: The Lord hath delivered all this land into our hands, and all the inhabitants thereof are overthrown with fear.


Neither shall they shave their head, nor their beard, nor make incisions in their flesh.


1 He that marrieth his brother's wife, doth an unlawful thing, he hath uncovered his brother's nakedness: they shall be without children.


5 And I will disperse thee in the nations, and will scatter thee among the countries, and I will put an end to thy uncleanness in thee.


1 But if the wicked do penance for all his sins which he hath committed, and keep all my commandments, and do judgment, and justice, living he shall live, and shall not die.
