1 Keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ, unto life everlasting.


The Lord delayeth not his promise, as some imagine, but dealeth patiently for your sake, not willing that any should perish, but that all should return to penance.


But the heavens and the earth which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of the ungodly men.


1 Speak to the house of Israel: Thus saith the Lord God: Behold I will profane my sanctuary, the glory of your realm, and the thing that your eyes de sire, and for which your soul feareth: your sons, and your daughters, whom you have left, shall fall by the sword.


7 And he that sleepeth in it, and eateth any thing, shall wash his clothes.


9 And for the purification thereof he shall take two sparrows, and cedar wood, and scarlet, and hyssop:


3 And when he hath let go the sparrow to fly freely away into the field, he shall pray for the house, and it shall be rightly cleansed.
