Thy hand destroyed the Gentiles, and thou plantedst them : thou didst afflict the people and cast them out.


Ye husbands, likewise dwelling with them according to knowledge, giving honour to the female as to the weaker vessel, and as to the co-heirs of the grace of life: that your prayers be not hindered.


Let the snare which he knoweth not come upon him : and let the net which he hath hidden catch him : and let the net which he hath hidden catch him : and into that very snare let them fall.


I have loved, O Lord, the beauty of thy house; and the place where thy glory dwelleth.


1 Sing ye to the Lord, who dwelleth in Sion: declare his ways among the Gentiles:


3 Laban answered him: The daughters are mine and the children, and thy flocks, and all things that thou seest are mine: what can I do to my children, and grandchildren?


For in his sight he hath done deceitfully, that his iniquity may be found unto hatred.


8 Why is my sorrow become perpetual, and my wound desperate so as to refuse to be healed? it is become to me as the falsehood of deceitful waters that cannot be trusted.


And again Bala conceived and bore another,


For they have destroyed the things which thou hast made: but what has the just man done?


4 Samech. Thou hast set a cloud before thee, that our prayer may not pass through.


Beth. The noble sons of Sion, and they that were clothed with the best gold: how are they esteemed as earthen vessels, the work of the potter's hands?
