For without cause they have hidden their net for me unto destruction : without cause they have upbraided my soul.


4 And I will visit against Bel in Babylon, and I will bring forth out of his mouth that which he had swallowed down: and the rations shall no more flow together to him, for the wall also of Babylon shall fall.


2 They shall take the bow and the shield: they are cruel and unmerciful: their voice shall roar like the sea, and they shall ride upon horses: like a man prepared for battle against thee, O daughter of Babylon.


1 For according to the height of the heaven above the earth: he hath strengthened his mercy towards them that fear him.


He shall come down like rain upon the fleece; and as showers falling gently upon the earth.


7 And Joseph seeing that his father had put his right hand upon the head of Ephraim, was much displeased: and taking his father's hand he tried to lift it from Ephraims head, and to remove it to the head of Manasses.


4 But Saul gave Michol his daughter, David's wife, to Phalti, the son of Lais, who was of Gallium.


For indeed my words are without a lie, and perfect knowledge shall be proved to thee.


2 For requiring their blood he hath remembered the: he hath not forgotten the cry of the poor.


How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, and that preacheth peace: of him that sheweth forth good, that preacheth salvation, that saith to Sion: Thy God shall reign!


If thou hast wearied with running with footmen, how canst thou contend with horses? and if thou hast been secure in a land of peace, what wilt thou do in the swelling of the Jordan?


9 For after thou didst convert me, I did penance: and after thou didst shew unto me, I struck my thigh: I am confounded and ashamed, because I have borne the reproach of my youth.


1 But if thou wilt not go forth, this is the word which the Lord hath shewn me:
