2 And the three hundred men nevertheless persisted sounding the trumpets. And the Lord sent the sword into all the camp, and they killed one another,


And Samuel said to all Israel: Behold I have hearkened to your voice in all that you said to me, and have made a king over you.


And the people of Israel were defeated there by David's army, and a great slaughter was made that day of twenty thousand men.
