7 And he said to them: What you shall see me do, do you the same: I will go into one part of the camp, and do you as I shall do.


8 And it was so. And rising before day wringing the fleece, he filled a vessel with the dew.


8 And when he had presented the gifts unto him, he followed his companions that came along with him.


And the Lord said to him: Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a simple and upright man, and fearing God, and avoiding evil?


And Hiram king of Tyre sent his servants to Solomon: for he heard that they had anointed him king in the room of his father: for Hiram had always been David's friend.


5 And he came to Soccoth and said to them: Behold Zebee and Salmana, concerning whom you upbraided me, saying: Peradventure the hands of Zebee and Salmana, are in thy hands, and therefore thou demandest that we should give bread to the men that are weary and faint.


And he saw a well in the field, and three flocks of sheep lying by it: for the beasts were watered out of it, and the mouth thereof was closed with a great stone.


But I will look towards the Lord, I will wait for God my Saviour: my God will hear me.


3 If I have despised to abide judgment with my manservant, or my maidservant, when they had any controversy against me:


6 The tender and delicate woman, that could not go upon the ground, nor set down her foot for over much niceness and tenderness, will envy her husband who lieth in her bosom, the flesh of her son, and of her daughter,


1 If you walk contrary to me, and will not hearken to me, I will bring seven times more plagues upon you for your sins:


And he cried to the Lord desiring help against the Madianites.


And delivered you out of the hands of the Egyptians, and of all the enemies that afflicted you: and I cast them out at your coming in, and gave you their land.


2 So they girded sackcloth on their loins, and put ropes on their heads, and came to the king of Israel, and said to him: Thy servant Benadad saith: I beseech thee let me have my life. And he said: If he be yet alive he is my brother.


For the day of vengeance is in my heart, the year of my redemption is come.


2 Thus saith the Lord God: Because Edom hath taken vengeance to revenge herself of the children of Juda, and hath greatly offended, and hath sought revenge of them:


And to the children of the concubines he gave gifts, and separated them from Isaac his son, while he yet lived, to the east country.


1 And when Moses lifted up his hands, Israel overcame: but if he let them down a little, Amalec overcame.


7 And the children of Ammon shouting together, pitched their tents in Galaad: against whom the children of Israel assembled themselves together and camped in Maspha.


5 And Solomon had seventy thousand to carry burdens, and eighty thousand to hew stones in the mountain:


Rejoice, and praise, O thou habitation of Sion: for great is he that is in the midst of thee, the Holy One of Israel.


6 And I will bring upon Elam the four winds from the fear quarters of heaven: and I will scatter them into all these winds: and there shall be no nation, to which the fugitives of Elam shall not come.


1 And I will execute judgments in Moab: and they shall know that I am the Lord.
