7 Wherefore the sin of the young men was exceeding great before the Lord: because they withdrew men from the sacrifice of the Lord.


The king of Egypt said to them: Why do you Moses and Aaron draw off the people from their works? Get you gone to your burdens.


Exhort servants to be obedient to their masters, in all things pleasing, not gainsaying:


4 But the next sabbath day, the whole city almost came together, to hear the word of God.

4 As I live, saith the Lord, if Jechonias the son of Joakim the king of Juda were a ring on my right hand, I would pluck him thence.

And he commanded his servants the physicians to embalm his father.


And decaying he died in a good old age, and having lived a long time, and being full of days: and was gathered to his people.


5 And thou shalt go to thy fathers in peace, and be buried in a good old age.


7 And the years of Ismael's life were a hundred and thirty-seven, and decaying he died, and was gathered unto his people.


In the mean time there arose a new king over Egypt, that knew not Joseph:


0 Come, let us wisely oppress them, lest they multiply: and if any war shall rise against us, join with our enemies, and having overcome us, depart out of the land.

3 And the Lord said: Because they have forsaken my law, which I gave them, and have not heard my voice, and have not walked in it.


0 And after that they durst not ask him any more questions.
