1 He was content, and abode with the man, and was unto him as one of his sons.


And they sat down together, and ate and drank. And the father of the young woman said to his son in law: I beseech thee to stay here to day, and let us make merry together.


Wherefore I would not destroy them from before your face: that you may have enemies, and their gods may be your ruin.


And they both died, to wit, Mahalon and Chelion: and the woman was left alone, having lost both her sons and her husband.


Then they desired him to consult the Lord, that they might know whether their journey should be prosperous, and the thing should have effect.
