6 For you know how we dwelt in the land of Egypt, and how we have passed through the midst of nations, and passing through them,


5 I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring you ought to support the weak, and to remember the word of the Lord Jesus, how he said: It is a more blessed thing to give, rather than to receive.


Neither is there any other nation so great, that hath gods so nigh them, as our God is present to all our petitions.


1 Which being expired, the same day all the army of the Lord went forth out of the land of Egypt.


And I will encompass my house with them that serve me in war, going and returning, and the oppressor shall no more pass through them: for now I have seen with my eyes.


4 Neither with you only do I make this covenant, and confirm these oaths,


5 But with all that are present and that are absent.


And they read in the book of the law of God distinctly and plainly to be understood: and they understood when it was read.
