And when they were passed over, the Lord said to Josue:


1 And Solomon finished all the work that he made in the house of the Lord, and brought in the things that David his father had dedicated, the silver and the gold, and the vessels, and laid them up in the treasures of the house of the Lord.

All these came together into the woodland vale, which now is the salt sea.


For thy mercy, and for thy truth's sake: lest the gentiles should say: Where is their God?


The Lord our God spoke to us in Horeb, saying: You have stayed long enough in this mountain:


From which they shall come to Emath, as far as the borders of Sedada:


that another generation might know them. The children that should be born and should rise up, and declare them to their children.


2 Arise, O God, judge thy own cause: remember thy reproaches with which the foolish man hath reproached thee all the day.


3 I will go into thy house with burnt offerings: I will pay thee my vows,


And in my abundance I said: I shall never be moved.

4 And now the morning watch was come, and behold the Lord looking upon the Egyptian army through the pillar of fire and of the cloud, slew their host.


4 From his habitation which he hath prepared, he hath looked upon all that dwell on the earth.

Then Moses and the children of Israel sung this canticle to the Lord: and said: Let us sing to the Lord: for he is gloriously magnified, the horse and the rider he hath thrown into the sea.


1 Who is like to thee, among the strong, O Lord? who is like to thee, glorious in holiness, terrible and praiseworthy, doing wonders?


He did what the Lord had commanded, and he circumcised the children of Israel in the hill of the foreskins.


Luring the forty years of the journey in the wide wilderness, were uncircumcised: till all they were consumed that had not heard the voice of the Lord, and to whom he had sworn before, that he would not shew them the land flowing with milk and honey.


As well in the mountains as in the plains and the champaign countries. In Asedoth, and in the wilderness, and in the south was the Hethite and the Amorrhite, the Chanaanite and the Pherezite, the Hevite and the Jebusite.


And to the rest of the children of Manasses according to their families: to the children of Abiezer, and to the children of Helec, and to the children of Esriel, and to the children of Sechem, and to the children of Hepher, and to the children of Semida: these are the male children of Manasses the son of Joseph, by their kindreds.


And he answered them: What could I have done like to that which you have done? Is not one bunch of grapes of Ephraim better than the vintages of Abiezer?


0 Because he struck the rock, and the waters gushed out, and the streams overflowed. Can he also give bread, or provide a table for his people?
