3 But a certain Samaritan being on his journey, came near him; and seeing him, was moved with compassion.


1 Who said to them: All men take not this word, but they to whom it is given.


8 Woe to them that desire the day of the Lord: to what end is it for you? the day of the Lord is darkness, and not light.


4 I have learned that all the works which God hath made, continue for ever: we cannot add any thing, nor take away from those things which God hath made that he may be feared.

3 He saith to them: How then doth David in spirit call him Lord, saying:


6 In like manner the second, and the third, and so on to the seventh.


Do you not yet understand, neither do you remember the five loaves among five thousand men, and how many baskets you took up?


1 So that the multitudes marvelled seeing the dumb speak, the lame walk, and the blind see: and they glorified the God of Israel.


4 The disciple is not above the master, nor the servant above his lord.


1 I hate, and have rejected your festivities: and I will not receive the odour of your assemblies.


3 Then Daniel was brought in before the king. And the king spoke, and said to him: Art thou Daniel of the children of the captivity of Juda, whom my father the king brought out of Judea?


4 An enemy is known by his lips, when in his heart he entertaineth deceit.


7 How long doth this wicked multitude murmur against me? I have heard the murmurings of the children of Israel.
