3 But Jesus held his peace. And the high priest said to him: I adjure thee by the living God, that thou tell us if thou be the Christ the Son of God.


And the day of the unleavened bread came, on which it was necessary that the pasch should be killed.


8 And all they in the synagogue, hearing these things, were filled with anger.


1 And having brought their ships to land, leaving all things, they followed him.


8 Jesus therefore said to them: When you shall have lifted up the Son of man, then shall you know, that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself, but as the Father hath taught me, these things I speak:


2 And they said to the woman: We now believe, not for thy saying: for we ourselves have heard him, and know that this is indeed the Saviour of the world.


2 And I will take the remnant of Juda that have set their faces to go into the land of Egypt, and to dwell there: and they shall be all consumed in the land of Egypt: they shall fall by the sword, and by the famine: and they shall be consumed from the least even to the greatest, by the sword, and by the famine shall they die: and they shall be for an execration, and for a wonder, and for a curse, and for a reproach.


1 And all this land shall be a desolation, and an astonishment: and all these nations shall serve the king of Babylon seventy years.


7 The words of the wise are heard in silence, more than the cry of a prince among fools.


1 And I will rejoice over them, when I shall do them good: and I will plant them in this land in truth, with my whole heart, and with all my soul.


And he sent Peter and John, saying: Go, and prepare for us the pasch, that we may eat.


1 Who said: No man, Lord. And Jesus said: Neither will I condemn thee. Go, and now sin no more.


9 But Peter and the apostles answering, said: We ought to obey God, rather than men.
