He riseth from supper, and layeth aside his garments, and having taken a towel, girded himself.

3 For they loved the glory of men more than the glory of God.


2 But I say to you, that whosoever is angry with his brother, shall be in danger of the judgment. And whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council. And whosoever shall say, Thou Fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.


And Eliu continued his discourse, and said :


7 John answered, and said: A man cannot receive any thing, unless it be given him from heaven.


5 And thou hast given me the protection of thy salvation: and thy right hand hath held me up: And thy discipline hath corrected me unto the end: and thy discipline, the same shall teach me.


0 The bricks are fallen down, but we will build with square stones: they have cut down the sycamores, but we will change them for cedars.


3 Receiving the reward of their injustice, counting for a pleasure the delights of a day: stains and spots, sporting themselves to excess, rioting in their feasts with you:


Hearken to me, you that know what is just, my people who have my law in your heart: fear ye not the reproach of men, and be not afraid of their blasphemies.


4 And Sion said: The Lord hath forsaken me, and the Lord hath forgotten me.


A long time therefore they abode there, dealing confidently in the Lord, who gave testimony to the word of his grace, granting signs and wonders to be done by their hands.


with long trumpets, and sound of comet. Make a joyful noise before the Lord our king:


1 And when they were gone aside, they spoke among themselves, saying: This man hath done nothing worthy of death or of bands.


4 If you shall ask me any thing in my name, that I will do.

And he said to me: These words are most faithful and true. And the Lord God of the spirits of the prophets sent his angel to shew his servants the things which must be done shortly.


0 And the child grew, and waxed strong, full of wisdom; and the grace of God was in him.


1 And thou also, O Juda, set thee a harvest, when I shall bring back captivity of my people.


2 And some indeed reprove, being judged:


Saying: Where is his promise or his coming? for since the time that the fathers slept, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.


5 To execute judgment upon all, and to reprove all the ungodly for all the works of their ungodliness, whereby they have done ungodly, and of all the hard things which ungodly sinners have spoken against God.


And the heavens shall declare his justice: for God is judge.


4 But Jesus cried, and said: He that believeth in me, doth not believe in me, but in him that sent me.


But he that keepeth his word, in him in very deed the charity of God is perfected; and by this we know that we are in him.
