8 You have heard that I said to you: I go away, and I come unto you. If you loved me, you would indeed be glad, because I go to the Father: for the Father is greater than I.


By this hath the charity of God appeared towards us, because God hath sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we may live by him.


And the first living creature was like a lion: and the second living creature like a calf: and the third living creature, having the face, as it were, of a man: and the fourth living creature was like an eagle flying.


1 But that the world may know, that I love the Father: and as the Father hath given me commandment, so do I: Arise, let us go hence.


6 I will fill him with length of days; and I will shew him my salvation.


1 And this commandment we have from God, that he, who loveth God, love also his brother.


And not by his coming only, but also by the consolation, wherewith he was comforted in you, relating to us your desire, your mourning, your zeal for me, so that I rejoiced the more.


One Lord, one faith, one baptism.


2 Caph. For if he hath cast off, he will also have mercy, according to the multitude of his mercies.


But thou shalt consider with thy eyes: and shalt see the reward of the wicked.


Thou hast set our iniquities before thy eyes: our life in the light of thy countenance.


3 It is the spirit that quickeneth: the flesh profiteth nothing. The words that I have spoken to you, are spirit and life.


Whosoever committeth sin commmitteth also iniquity; and sin is iniquity.
