2 I will declare thy name to my brethren: in the midst of the church will I praise thee.


8 And after these things, Joseph of Arimathea (because he was a disciple of Jesus, but secretly for fear of the Jews) besought Pilate that he might take away the body of Jesus. And Pilate gave leave. He came therefore, and took the body of Jesus.


5 And when he rose up from prayer, and was come to his disciples, he found them sleeping for sorrow.


2 The soldiers therefore came; and they broke the legs of the first, and of the other that was crucified with him.


9 And they that went before, rebuked him, that he should hold his peace: but he cried out much more: Son of David, have mercy on me.


2 Then the band and the tribune, and the servants of the Jews, took Jesus, and bound him:


Simon Peter saith to him: Lord, not only my feet, but also my hands and my head.


7 But he whom God hath raised from the dead, saw no corruption.


9 And lo, a spirit seizeth him, and he suddenly crieth out, and he throweth him down and teareth him, so that he foameth; and bruising him, he hardly departeth from him.


8 And when thou goest with thy adversary to the prince, whilst thou art in the way, endeavour to be delivered from him: lest perhaps he draw thee to the judge, and the judge deliver thee to the exacter, and the exacter cast thee into prison.


2 And they said to the woman: We now believe, not for thy saying: for we ourselves have heard him, and know that this is indeed the Saviour of the world.


2 While I was with them, I kept them in thy name. Those whom thou gavest me have I kept; and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition, that the scripture may be fulfilled.


She ran, therefore, and cometh to Simon Peter, and to the other disciple whom Jesus loved, and saith to them: They have taken away the Lord out of the sepulchre, and we know not where they have laid him.
