0 Many shall be chosen, and made white, and shall be tried as fire: and the wicked shall deal wickedly, and none of the wicked shall understand, but the learned shall understand.


1 Martha therefore said to Jesus: Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died.


On the first day of the week let every one of you put apart with himself, laying up what it shall well please him; that when I come, the collections be not then to be made.


And many, taken with the palsy, and that were lame, were healed.


0 And laid it in his own new monument, which he had hewed out in a rock. And he rolled a great stone to the door of the monument, and went his way.


3 Because the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ is the head of the church. He is the saviour of his body.


And Jesus said to them: A prophet is not without honor, but in his own country, and in his own house, and among his own kindred.


2 And when they were gone out, behold they brought him a dumb man, possessed with a devil.


4 And the Lord said: My face shall go before thee, and I will give thee rest.


And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity. The tongue is placed among our members, which defileth the whole body, and inflameth the wheel of our nativity, being set on fire by hell.


3 It is sown in dishonour, it shall rise in glory. It is sown in weakness, it shall rise in power.


7 All things are put under him; undoubtedly, he is excepted, who put all things under him.

WHEN Jesus therefore understood that the Pharisees had heard that Jesus maketh more disciples, and baptizeth more than John,


6 Thou shalt fan them, and the wind shall carry them away, and the whirlwind shall scatter them: and thou shalt rejoice in the Lord, in the Holy One of Israel thou shalt be joyful.


2 O our God, wilt thou not then judge them? as for us we have not strength enough, to be able to resist this multitude, which cometh violently upon us. But as we know not what to do, we can only turn our eyes to thee.


1 And after many evils and afflictions shall have come upon them, this canticle shall answer them for a testimony, which no oblivion shall take away out of the mouth of their seed. For I know their thoughts, and what they are about to de this day, before that I bring them into the land which I have promised them.


6 And he called Giezi, and said to him: Call this Sunamitess. And she being called, went in to him: and he said: Take up thy son.

0 Martha therefore, as soon as she heard that Jesus had come, went to meet him: but Mary sat at home.
