0 And I will send a fire upon the wall of Tyre, and it shall devour the houses thereof.


4 And Aggeus answered, and said: So is this people, and so is this nation before my face, saith the Lord, and so is all the work of their hands: and all that they have offered there, shall be defiled.


For he shall be like tamaric in the desert, and he shall not see when good shall come: but he shall dwell in dryness in the desert in a salt land, and not inhabited.


1 And the Lord was willing to sanctify him, and to magnify the law, and exalt it.


7 The just is first accuser of himself: his friend cometh, and shall search him.


Thou shalt fall upon the mountains of Israel, thou and all thy bands, and thy nations that are with thee: I have given thee to the wild beasts, to the birds, and to every fowl, and to the beasts of the earth to be devoured.


ARISE, arise, put on thy strength, O Sion, put on the garments of thy glory, O Jerusalem, the city of the Holy One: for henceforth the uncircumcised, and unclean shall no more pass through thee.


For he is my God and my saviour: he is my protector, I shall be moved no more.


And I saw the woman drunk with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus. And I wondered, when I had seen her, with great admiration.


He bowed the heavens, and came down: and darkness was under his feet.


4 Neither shall he that is near, say: I am feeble. The people that dwell therein, shall have their iniquity taken away from them.


O Lord, in thy favour, thou gavest strength to my beauty. Thou turnedst away thy face from me, and I became troubled.


4 And Samuel departed to Ramatha: but Saul went up to his house in Gabaa.


And that great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, who is called the devil and Satan, who seduceth the whole world; and he was cast unto the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him.


And there was seen another sign in heaven: and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads, and ten horns: and on his head seven diadems:


So that we may confidently say: The Lord is my helper: I will not fear what man shall do to me.


And I cut off three shepherds in one month, and my soul was straitened in their regard: for their soul also varied in my regard.


Hear this word, ye fat kine that are in the mountains of Samaria: you that oppress the needy, and crush the poor: that say to your masters: Bring, and we will drink.


Therefore turn thou to thy God : keep mercy and judgment, and hope in thy God always.


Howl, thou fir tree, for the cedar is fallen, for the mighty are laid waste: howl, ye oaks of Basan, because the fenced forest is cut down.


For my sword is inebriated in heaven: behold it shall come down upon Idumea, and upon the people of my slaughter unto judgment.


5 Then shall there enter in by the gates of this city kings and princes, sitting upon the throne of David, and riding in chariots and on horses, they and their princes, the men of Juda, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem: and this city shall be inhabited forever.


5 Behold upon the mountains the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, and that preacheth peace: O Juda, keep thy festivals, and pay thy vows: for Belial shall no more pass through thee again, he is utterly cut off.


5 And now consider in your hearts, from this day and upward, before there was a stone laid upon a stone in the temple of the Lord.


My wrath is kindled against the shepherds, and I will visit upon the buck goats: for the Lord of hosts hath visited his flock, the house of Juda, and hath made them as the horse of his glory in the battle.
