Therefore I will answer thy words, and thy friends with thee.


1 Doth a fountain send forth, out of the same hole, sweet and bitter water?


4 That thou keep the commandment without spot, blameless, unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ,


3 And lifting up his eyes when he was in torments, he saw Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom:


7 But he said: He that shewed mercy to him. And Jesus said to him: Go, and do thou in like manner.


3 And there shall be still a tithing therein, and she shall turn, and shall be made a show as a turpentine tree, and as an oak that spreadeth its branches: that which shall stand therein, shall be a holy seed.


7 He that setteth bounds to his words. is knowing and wise: and the man of understanding is of a precious spirit.


6 As vinegar to the teeth, and smoke to the eyes, so is the sluggard to them that sent him.


Deliver me from my enemies, O Lord, to thee have I fled:


If I was not humbly minded, but exalted my soul: As a child that is weaned is towards his mother, so reward in my soul.


But he saveth not the wicked, and he giveth judgment to the poor.


Who commandeth tile sun and it riseth not: and shutteth up the stars as it were under a seal:


Call now if there be any that will answer thee, and turn to some of the saints.


Now on a certain day when the sons of God came to stand before the Lord, Satan also was present among them.


0 If I would justify myself, my own mouth shall condemn me: if I would shew myself innocent, he shall prove me wicked.


4 Let him take his rod away from me, and let not his fear terrify me.


3 There is none that may be able to reprove both, and to put his hand between both.


0 Shall not the fewness of my days be ended shortly? suffer me, therefore, that I may lament my sorrow a little:


2 But yet his flesh, while he shall live, shall have pain, and his soul shall mourn over him.
