He that gathereth treasures by a lying tongue, is vain and foolish, and shall stumble upon the snares of death.


He that despiseth the poor, reproacheth his Maker; and he that rejoiceth at another man's ruin, shall not be unpunished.


6 Who hath put wisdom in the heart of man? or who gave the cock understanding?


2 Hast thou entered into the storehouses of the snow, or has thou beheld the treasures of the hail :


9 The topaz of Ethiopia shall not be equal to it, neither shall it be compared to the cleanest dyeing.


In the mean time the famine was heavy upon all the land.


And decaying he died in a good old age, and having lived a long time, and being full of days: and was gathered to his people.


5 And thou shalt go to thy fathers in peace, and be buried in a good old age.


5 To shine in the firmament of heaven, and to give light upon the earth. And it was so done.


And the earth was void and empty, and darkness was upon the face of the deep; and the spirit of God moved over the waters.


Hear, and I will speak : I will ask thee, and do thou tell me.


Therefore I reprehend myself, and do penance in dust and ashes.
