8 Therefore let not anger overcome thee to oppress any man : neither let multitude of gifts turn thee aside.


Who hath removed mountains, and they whom he overthrew in his wrath, knew it not.

8 Now if God clothe in this manner the grass that is to day in the field, and to morrow is cast into the oven; how much more you, O ye of little faith?


4 The Lord of hosts hath sworn, saying: Surely as I have thought, so shall it be: and as I have purposed,


For Jerusalem is ruined, and Juda is fallen: because their tongue, and their devices are against the Lord, to provoke the eyes of his majesty.


Hear, O my people, and I will speak: O Israel, and I will testify to thee: I am God, thy God.


A psalm for Asaph. The God of gods, the Lord hath spoken: and he hath called the earth. From the rising of the sun, to the going down thereof:


Thou hast multiplied thy wonderful works, O Lord my God : and in thy thoughts there is no one like to thee. I have declared and I have spoken they are multiplied above number.


2 Hear my prayer, O Lord, and my supplication : give ear to my tears. Be not silent : for I am a stranger with thee, and a sojourner as all my fathers were.


But you have set yourselves up against me, and reprove me with my reproaches.


Which, although she hath no guide, nor master, nor captain,


4 He hath spoken nothing to me, and I will not answer him according to your words.
