4 Wise men lay up knowledge: but the mouth of the fool is next to confusion.


4 They shall still increase in a fruitful old age: and shall be well treated,


then said I, Behold I come. In the head of the book it is written of me


There is no health in my flesh, because of thy wrath : there is no peace for my bones, because of my sins.


Then Job answered , and said:


He promiseth a prey to his companions, and the eyes of his children shall fail.


Thou reprovest him by words, who is not equal to thee, and thou speakest that which is not good for thee.


9 Waters wear away the stones, and with inundation the ground by little and little is washed away: so in like manner thou shalt destroy man.


A tree hath hope: if it be cut, it groweth green again, and the boughs thereof sprout.


And he walked after their counsels. And he went with Joram the son of Achab king of Israel, to fight against Hazael king of Syria, at Ramoth Galaad : and the Syrians wounded Joram.


1 They sacrificed to the Lord in that day of the spoils, and of the prey, that they had brought, seven hundred oxen, and seven thousand rams.
