3 Forget not the voices of thy enemies: the pride of them that hate thee ascendeth continually.


4 His folly shall not please him, and his trust shall be like the spider's web.


And he called the light Day, and the darkness Night; and there was evening and morning one day.


And delivered just Lot, oppressed by the injustice and lewd conversation of the wicked.


And it came to pass, that when they were there, her days were accomplished, that she should be delivered.


7 That it should fill the desert and desolate land, and should bring forth green grass?

2 Why doth thy heart elevate thee, and why dost thou stare with thy eyes, as if they were thinking great things ?

9 Where is the way where light dwelleth, and where is the place of darkness :


6 Therefore thus saith the Lord the God of hosts the sovereign Lord: In every street there shall be wailing: and in all places that are without, they shall say: Alas, alas! and they shall call the husbandman to mourning, and such as are skilful in lamentation to lament.


1 For he hath fed the barren that beareth not, and to the widow he hath done no good.
