1 Now when Job's three friends heard all the evil that had befallen him, they came every one from his own place, Alphas the Themanite, and Baldad the Suhite, and Sophar the Naamathite. For they had made an appointment to come together and visit him, a nd comfort him.


I thought upon the days of old: and I had in my mind the eternal years.


gut put forth thy hand, and touch his bone and his flesh, and then thou shalt gee that he will bless thee to thy face.


6 Hast thou entered into the depths of the sea, and walked in the lowest parts of the deep?


8 Hast thou considered the breadth of the earth? tell me, if thou knowest all things?


6 The trees of the field shall be filled, and the cedars of Libanus which he hath planted:


Do good, O Lord, to those that are good, and to the upright of heart.


3 After these words Jeroboam came not back from his wicked way: but on the contrary he made of the meanest of the people priests of the high places: whosoever would, he filled his hand, and he was made a priest of the high places.


Job also added, taking up his parable, and said:


0 Astonishing and wonderful things have been done in the land.
