2 The Lord will redeem the souls of his servants: and none of them that trust in him shall offend.


O magnify the Lord with me; and let us extol his name together.


3 Nor the office of the priests to the people: but whosoever had offered a sacrifice, the servant of the priest came, while the flesh was in boiling, with a fleshhook of three teeth in his hand,


2 Now we charge them that are such, and beseech them by the Lord Jesus Christ, that, working with silence, they would eat their own bread.


But his will is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he shall meditate day and night.


And when the days of their feasting were gone about, Job sent to them, and sanctified them: and rising up early offered holocausts for every one of them. For he said: Lest perhaps my sons have sinned, and have blessed God in their hearts. So did Job all days.


1 Whereunto baptism being of the like form, now saveth you also: not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the examination of a good conscience towards God by the resurrection of Jesus Christ.


And the Lord said to him: Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a simple and upright man, and fearing God, and avoiding evil?


And now thus saith the Lord of hosts: Set your hearts to consider your ways.


1 And again Pharao said to Joseph: Behold, I have appointed thee over the whole land of Egypt.


My Lord, hear us, thou art a prince of God among us: bury thy dead in our principle sepulchers: and no man shall have power to hinder thee from burying thy dead in his sepulcher.


4 And they buried him in his own sepulchre, which he had made for himself in the city of David: and they]aid him on his bed full of spices and odoriferous ointments, which were made by the art of the perfumers, and they burnt them over him with very great pomp.


2 Now there was a word spoken to me in private, and my ears by stealth as it were received the veins of its whisper.


6 And to the needy there shall he hope, but iniquity shall draw in her mouth.


I would set judgment before him, and would fill my mouth with complaints.


If my heart hath been deceived upon a woman, and if I have laid wait at my friend's door:


and my God. My soul is troubled within myself : therefore will I remember thee from the land of Jordan and Hermoniim, from the little hill.


Pass over the seas, howl, ye inhabitants of the island.


For David, when he changed his countenance before Achimelech, who dismissed him, and he went his way. [1 Kings 21.] I will bless the Lord at all times, his praise shall be always in my mouth.


For David himself. Judge thou, O Lord, them that wrong me : overthrow them that fight against me.
