their judges falling upon the rock have been swallowed up. They shall hear my words, for they have prevailed:


0 In famine he shall deliver thee from death: and in battle, from the hand of the sword.


8 For, speaking proud words of vanity, they allure by the desires of fleshly riotousness, those who for a little while escape, such as converse in error:


2 And he shall set up a standard unto the nations, and shall assemble the fugitives of Israel, and shall gather together the dispersed of Juda from the four quarters of the earth.


1 And all kings of the earth shall adore him: all nations shall serve him.


for nothing shalt thou save them: in thy anger thou shalt break the people in pieces, O God,


9 Arise, O Lord, let not man be strengthened: let the Gentiles be judged in thy sight.


Then Eliphaz the Themanite answered, and said:


Who hath removed mountains, and they whom he overthrew in his wrath, knew it not.


2 Now there was a word spoken to me in private, and my ears by stealth as it were received the veins of its whisper.


2 If I have erred, teach thou me : if I have spoken iniquity, I will add no more.


9 Where is the way where light dwelleth, and where is the place of darkness :


as when the thickness of the earth is broken up upon the ground: Our bones are scattered by the side of hell.
