5 By a dream in a vision by night, when deep sleep falleth upon men, and they are sleeping in their beds :


Let my enemy be as the ungodly, and my adversary as the wicked one.


Then Eliu the son of Barachel the Buzite answered and said : I am younger in days, and you are more ancient; therefore hanging down my head, I was afraid to shew you my opinion.


9 My root is opened beside the waters, and dew shall continue in my harvest.


2 For behold short years pass away and I am walking in a path by which l shall not return.


The measure of him is longer than the earth, and broader than the sea.


2 Thou hast granted me life and mercy, and thy visitation hath preserved my spirit.


2 One thing there is that I have spoken, both the innocent and the wicked he consumeth.


If I lie down to sleep, I shall say: When shall arise? and again I shall look for the evening, and shall be filled with sorrows even till darkness.


3 How many are my iniquities and sins? make me know my crimes and offences.


0 Therefore, ye men of understanding, hear me : far from god be wickedness, and iniquity from the Almighty.


Who hath wrought and done these things, calling the generations from the beginning? I the Lord, I am the first and the last.


For inquire of the former generation, and search diligently into the memory of the fathers:


2 His troops have come together, and have made themselves a way by me, and have besieged my tabernacle round about.
