8 For he shall finish his word, and cut it short in justice; because a short word shall the Lord make upon the earth.


44 Thy testimonies are justice for ever: give me understanding, and I shall live.


Let us make a covenant with the Lord our God, to put away all the wives, and such as are born of them, according to the will of the Lord, and of them that fear the commandment of the Lord our God: let it be done according to the law.


3 For my people have done two evils. They have forsaken me, the fountain of living water, and have digged to themselves cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water.


1 Let the desert and the cities thereof be exalted: Cedar shall dwell in houses: ye inhabitants of Petra, give praise, they shall cry from the top of the mountains.


2 I have not departed from the commandments of his lips, and the words of his mouth I have hid in my bosom.


Thou hast set their heart far from understanding, therefore they shall not be exalted.


6 Thou shalt also forget misery, and remember it only as waters that are passed away.


1 For he knoweth the vanity of men, and when he seeth iniquity, doth he not consider it?


0 Who maketh a man that is a hypocrite to reign for the sins of the people?


Who alone spreadeth out the heavens, and walketh upon the waves of the sea.
