4 But every man is tempted by his own concupiscence, being drawn away and allured.


5 Who made a weight for the winds and weighed the waters by measure.


6 For the Lord will be at thy side, and will keep thy foot that thou be not taken.


2 Buried with him in baptism, in whom also you are risen again by the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him up from the dead.


6 And if any man think himself to be religious, not bridling his tongue, but deceiving his own heart, this man's religion is vain.


When the Almighty was with me: and my servants round about me?


3 I will teach the unjust thy ways: and the wicked shall be converted to thee.


4 And if thou wilt walk in my ways, and Beep my precepts, and my commandments, as thy father walked, I will lengthen thy days.


6 It shall not be compared with the dyed colours of India, or with the most precious stone sardonyx, or the sapphire.


8 And he said to man: Behold the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom: and to depart from evil, is understanding.


8 It is good that thou shouldst hold up the just, yea and from him withdraw not thy hand: for he that feareth God, neglecteth nothing.
