4 Wise men lay up knowledge: but the mouth of the fool is next to confusion.


2 It is thou, O king, who art grown great and become mighty: for thy greatness hath grown, and hath reached to heaven, and thy power unto the ends of the earth.


THEN Jesus was led by the spirit into the desert, to be tempted by the devil.


IN that day the Lord with his hard, and great, and strong sword shall visit leviathan the bar serpent, and leviathan the crooked serpent, and shall slay the whale that is in the see.


7 And I understood that man can find no reason of all those works of God that are done under the sun: and the more he shall labour to seek, so much the less shall he find: yea, though the wise man shall say, that he knoweth it, he shall not be able to find it.


Therefore various thoughts succeed one another in me, and my mind is hurried away to different things.


Why are we reputed as beasts, and counted vile before you?


8 And they sometime bound together without disquiet, have not heard the voice of the oppressor.


5 They that dwelt in my house, and my maidservants have counted me a stranger, and I have been like an alien in their eyes.


1 Who shall reprove his way to his face? and who shall repay him what he hath done?


For David himself. Judge thou, O Lord, them that wrong me : overthrow them that fight against me.


3 And kings shall be thy nursing fathers, and queens thy nurses: they shall worship thee with their face toward the earth, and they shall lick up the dust of thy feet. And thou shalt know that I am the Lord, for they shall not be confounded that wait for him.
