1 Weight and balance are judgments of the Lord: and his work all the weights of the bag.


6 As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are certain things hard to be understood, which the unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, to their own destruction.


3 For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.


Is my debate against man, that I should not have just reason to be troubled?


After this I saw a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and tribes, and peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne, and in sight of the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands:


2 And some indeed reprove, being judged:


Woe to you that inhabit the sea coast, O nation of reprobates: the word of the Lord upon you, O Chanaan, the land of the Philistines, and I will destroy thee, so that there shall not be an inhabitant.


0 For as thorns embrace one another: so while they are feasting and drinking together, they shall be consumed as stubble that is fully dry.


1 By the blessing of the just the city shall be exalted: and by the mouth of the wicked it shall be overthrown.


he hath given food to them that fear him. He will be mindful for ever of his covenant:


If he will contend with him, he cannot answer him one for a thousand.


Hearken to me and be astonished, and lay your finger on your mouth.


2 Shall any one teach God knowledge, who judgeth those that are high?


5 But another dieth in bitterness of soul without any riches:


4 How then do ye comfort me in vain, whereas your answer is shewn to be repugnant to truth ?


Can man be compared with God, even though he were of perfect knowledge?


Then let me sow and let another eat: and let my offspring be rooted out.


8 His bones are like pipes of brass, his gristle like plates of iron.


And they said to Jeremias: The Lord be witness between us of truth and faithfulness, if we do not according to every thing for which the Lord thy God shall send thee to us.


3 And the ministers did as they were commanded: and they brought out to him the five kings out of the cave: the king of Jerusalem, the king of Hebron, the king of Jerimoth, the king of Lachis, the king of Eglon.


2 Behold these are sinners; and yet abounding in the world they have obtained riches.
