6 I have done with hope, I shall now live no longer: spare me, for my days are nothing.


6 And the word of the Lord came to me, saying:


Better it is to see what thou mayst desire, than to desire that which thou canst not know. But this also is vanity, and presumption of spirit.


7 The impatient man shall work folly: and the crafty man is hateful.


8 The offspring of his house shall be exposed, he shall be pulled down in the day of God's wrath.


That thou shouldst inquire after my iniquity, and search after my sin?


3 If he scourge, let him kill at once, and not laugh at the pains of the innocent.


5 For the fear which I feared hath come upon me: and that which I was afraid of, hath befallen me.


7 And it came to pass after this that the son of the woman, the mistress of the house, fell sick, and the sickness was very grievous, so that there was no breath left in him.


3 And if he shall enter into any city, all Israel shall cast ropes round about that city, and we will draw it into the river, so that there shall not be found so much as one small stone thereof.


9 Ask any one of them that go by the way, and you shall perceive that he knoweth these same things.


1 Who shall reprove his way to his face? and who shall repay him what he hath done?
