2 Do we provoke the Lord to jealousy ? Are we stronger than he? All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient.


7 And while he also was yet speaking, there came another, and said: The Chaldeans made three troops, and have fallen upon the camels, and taken them, moreover they have slain the servants with the sword, and I alone have escaped to tell thee.


9 I know thy works, and thy faith, and thy charity, and thy ministry, and thy patience, and thy last works which are more than the former.


And I saw a new heaven and a new earth. For the first heaven and the first earth was gone, and the sea is now no more.


Unto the end, a canticle of a psalm of the resurrection. Shout with joy to God, all the earth,


6 But be it so: I did not burthen you: but being crafty, I caught you by guile.


0 And he said to her: Thou hast; spoken like one of the foolish women: if we have received good things at the hand of God, why should we not receive evil? In all these things Job did not sin with his lips.


2 And when they had lifted up their eyes afar off, they knew him not, and crying out they wept, and rending their garments they sprinkled dust upon their heads towards heaven.


6 And say: Thus saith the king: Put this fellow in prison, and give him bread and water in a small quantity till I return in peace.


6 And while he was yet speaking, another came, and said: The fire of God fell from heaven, and striking the sheep and the servants, hath consumed them, and I alone have escaped to tell thee.


1 But seek ye first the kingdom of God and his justice, and all these things shall be added unto you.
