2 So the sons of Jacob did as he had commanded them.


3 And I rose up, and went forth into the plain: and behold the glory of the Lord stood there, like the glory which I saw by the river Chobar: and I fell upon my face.


But if you return to me, and keep my commandments, and do them, though you should be led away to the uttermost parts of the world, I will gather you from thence, and bring you back to the place which I have chosen for my name to dwell there.


And he fenced it in, and picked the stones out of it, and planted it with the choicest vines, and built a tower in the midst thereof, and set up a winepress therein: and he looked that it should bring forth grapes, and it brought forth wild grapes.


1 I remembered the works of the Lord: for I will be mindful of thy wonders from the beginning.


Remember, I pray thee, who ever perished being innocent? or when were the just destroyed?


And God called the firmament, Heaven; and the evening and morning were the second day.


And he called the light Day, and the darkness Night; and there was evening and morning one day.


And now as a little, and for a moment has our prayer been made before the Lord our God, to leave us a remnant, and give us a pin in his holy place, and that our God would enlighten our eyes, and would give us a little life in our bondage.


These two things shall come upon thee suddenly in one day, barrenness and widowhood. All things are come upon thee, because of the multitude of thy sorceries, and for the great hardness of thy enchanters.


Let a darksome whirlwind seize upon that night, let it not be counted in the days of the year, nor numbered in the months.


8 Sade. Their heart cried to the Lord upon the walls of the daughter of Sion: Let tears run down like a torrent day and night: give thyself no rest, and let not the apple of thy eye cease.
