1 If we have forgotten the name of our God, and if we have spread forth our hands to a strange god :


4 They have rushed in upon me, as when a wall is broken, and a gate opened, and have rolled themselves down to my miseries.

Moses did what the Lord had commanded, sending from the desert of Pharan, principal men, whose names are these:


Who is ignorant that the hand of the Lord hath made all these things?


My eye is dim through indignation, and my limbs are brought as it were to nothing.


5 I am brought to nothing: as a wind thou hast taken away my desire: and my prosperity hath passed away like a cloud.


8 Attend to my soul, and deliver it: save me because of my enemies.


2 Shall not God search out these things : for he knoweth the secrets of the heart. Because for thy sake we are killed all the day long : we are counted as sheep for the slaughter.
