WOE to the crown of pride, to the drunkards of Ephraim, and to the fading flower the glory of his joy, who were on the head of the fat valley, staggering with wine.


They shall not hurt, nor shall they kill in all my holy mountain, for the earth is filled with the knowledge of the Lord, as the covering waters of the sea.


9 Waters wear away the stones, and with inundation the ground by little and little is washed away: so in like manner thou shalt destroy man.


5 They that dwelt in my house, and my maidservants have counted me a stranger, and I have been like an alien in their eyes.


3 And whereas the king saw a watcher, and a holy one come down from heaven, and say: Cut down the tree and destroy it, but leave the stump of the roots thereof in the earth, and let it be bound with iron and brass among the grass without, and let it be sprinkled with the dew of heaven, and let his feeding be with the wild beasts, till seven times pass over him.


1 As if the waters should depart out of the sea, and an emptied river should be dried up:


3 Who will grant me this, that thou mayest protect me in hell, and hide me till thy wrath pass, and appoint me a. time when thou wilt remember me?


But the head of Syria is Damascus, and the head of Damascus is Basin: and within threescore and five years, Ephraim shall cease to be a people:


0 The tree which thou sawest which was high and strong, whose height reached to the skies, and the sight thereof into all tire earth:
