2 Who bringeth to nought the designs of the malignant, so that their hands cannot accomplish what they had begun:


A time to weep, and a time to laugh. A time to mourn, and a time to dance.


To whom hast thou given counsel? perhaps to him that hath no wisdom, and thou hast shewn thy very great prudence.


My days have passed more swiftly than the web is cut by the weaver, and are consumed without any hope.


0 And blessing the king, he went out.


9 The Son of man came eating and drinking, and they say: Behold a man that is a glutton and a wine drinker, a friend of publicans and sinners. And wisdom is justified by her children.


2 Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation, and strengthen me with a perfect spirit.


9 To whom alone the earth was given, and no stranger hath passed among them.


0 If I be washed as it were with snow waters, and my hands shall shine ever so clean :


1 Wherefore I will not spare my month, I will speak in the affliction of my spirit: I will talk with the bitterness of my soul.


4 Is it not better to eat and drink, and to shew his soul good things of his labours? and this is from the hand of God.


2 Hear my prayer, O Lord, and my supplication : give ear to my tears. Be not silent : for I am a stranger with thee, and a sojourner as all my fathers were.


7 And to Adam he said: Because thou hast hearkened to the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldst not eat, cursed is the earth in thy work; with labour and toil shalt thou eat thereof all the days of thy life.


Shall men hold their peace to thee only? and when thou hast mocked others, shall no man confute thee?


Before the mountains were made, or the earth and the world was formed; from eternity and to eternity thou art God.


And to this people thou shalt say: Thus saith the Lord: Behold I set before you the way of life, and the way of death.


4 And she saddled an ass, and commanded her servant: Drive, and make haste, make no stay in going. And do that which I bid thee.


4 His folly shall not please him, and his trust shall be like the spider's web.


Whom hast thou desired to teach? was it not him that made life?


3 O forgive me, that I may be refreshed, before I go hence, and be no more.
