That dwell in sepulchres, and sleep in the temple of idols: that eat swine's flesh, and profane broth is in their vessels.


Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy face?


0 Thou hast strengthened him for a little while, that he may pass away for ever: thou shalt change his face, and shalt send him away.


Whom resist ye, strong in faith: knowing that the same affliction befalls your brethren who are in the world.


Let all that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee; and let such as love thy salvation say always: The Lord be magnified.


5 Behold behemoth whom I made with thee, he eateth grass like an ox.


And hast thou an arm like God, and canst thou thunder with a voice like him?


3 If thou wilt return to the Almighty, thou shalt be built up, and shalt put away iniquity far from thy tabernacle.


1 For what is it to him what befalleth his house after him: and if the number of his months be diminished by one half?


9 But if so also I am wicked, why have I laboured in vain?


7 If I say: I will not speak so: I change my face, and am tormented with sorrow.


If he will contend with him, he cannot answer him one for a thousand.


3 Although thou conceal these things in thy heart, yet I know that thou rememberest all things.


6 My face is swollen with weeping, and my eyelids are dim.


1 His wrath is kindled against me, and he hath counted me as his enemy.


Let my enemy be as the ungodly, and my adversary as the wicked one.


6 I expected good things, and evils are come upon me: I waited for light, and darkness broke out.


0 If his sides have not blessed me, and if he were not warmed with the fleece of my sheep:


0 Because he hath found complaints against me, therefore he hath counted me for his enemy.


The man that in private detracted his neighbour, him did I persecute. With him that had a proud eye, and an unsatiable heart, I would not eat.


8 Wise men confess and hide not their fathers.
