Remove out of the midst of Babylon, and go forth out of the land of the Chaldeans: and be ye as kids at the head of the flock.


4 I have heard a rumour from the Lord, and an ambassador is sent to the nations: Gather yourselves together, and come against her, and let us rise up to battle.


They shall eat the sins of my people, and shall lift up their souls to their iniquity.


And from the first year of Darius the Mede I stood up that he might be strengthened and confirmed.


6 This is the dream: we will also tell the interpretation thereof before thee, O king.


O thou sword of the Lord, how long wilt thou not be quiet? Go into thy scabbard, rest, and be still.


Behold I will bring them from the north country, and will gather them from the ends of the earth: and among them shall be the blind, and the lame, the woman with child, and she that is bringing forth, together, a great company of them returning hither.


8 The prophet that hath a dream, let him tell a dream: and he that hath my word, let him speak my word with truth: what hath the chaff to do with the wheat, saith the Lord?


And it came to pass after many days, that the Lord said to me: Arise, go to the Euphrates, and take from thence the girdle, which I commanded thee to hide there.


The mirth of timbrels hath ceased, the noise of them that rejoice is ended, the melody of the harp is silent.


The fishers also shall mourn, and all that cast a hook into the river shall lament, and they that spread nets upon the waters shall languish away.


Then Sophar the Naamathite answered, and said:


The works of God are perfect, and all his ways are judgments: God is faithful and without any iniquity, he is just and right.


5 That thou mightest know that the Lord he is God, and there is no other besides him.


9 Out of Jacob shall he come that shall rule, and shall destroy the remains of the city.


6 And thou shalt come upon my people of Israel like a cloud, to cover the earth. Thou shalt be in the latter days, and I will bring thee upon my land: that the nations may know me, when I shall be sanctified in thee, O Gog, before their eyes.


And I went, and hid it by the Euphrates, as the Lord had commanded me.


But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time appointed: many shall pass over, and knowledge shall be manifold.


The way of the just is right, the path of the just is right to walk in.


Hearken unto me, O house of Jacob, all the remnant of the house of Israel, who are carried by my bowels, are borne up by my womb.
