3 And the river Jordan was the herder of the children of Ruben. This is the possession of the Rubenites, by their kindreds, of cities and villages.


Take counsel, gather a council: make thy shadow as the night in the midday: hide them that flee, and betray not them that wander about.


6 The destruction of Moab is near to come: the calamity thereof shall come on exceeding swiftly.


8 A fire is gone out of Hesebon, a flame from the city of Sehon, and hath consumed Ar of the Moabites, and the inhabitants of the high places of the Arnon.


She hath not hearkened to the voice, neither hath she received discipline: she hath not trusted in the Lord, she drew not near to her God.


7 And I will execute great vengeance upon them, rebuking them in fury: and they shall know that I am the Lord, when I shall lay my vengeance upon them.


0 I know, saith the Lord, his boasting, and that the strength thereof is not according to it, neither hath it endeavoured to do according as it was able.


2 And Moab shall cease to be a people : because he hath gloried against the Lord.


These are the mansions of the children of Israel, who went out of Egypt by their troops under the conduct of Moses and Aaron,


2 Balaam also the son of Beer the soothsayer, the children of Israel slew with the sword among the rest that were slain.
