For David, when he changed his countenance before Achimelech, who dismissed him, and he went his way. [1 Kings 21.] I will bless the Lord at all times, his praise shall be always in my mouth.


4 Therefore, thus saith the Lord the God of hosts: O my people that dwellest in Sion, be not afraid of the Assyrian: he shall strike thee with his rod, and he shall lift up his staff over thee in the way of Egypt.


1 The remnant shall be converted, the remnant, I say, of Jacob, to the mighty God.


Her princes are in the midst of her as roaring lions: her judges are evening wolves, they left nothing for the morning.


4 And I will destroy the land of Phatures, and will make a fire in Taphnis, and will execute judgments in Alexandria.


4 Damascus is undone, she is put to flight, trembling hath seized on her: anguish and sorrows have taken her as a woman in labour.

8 Better is wisdom, than weapons of war: and he that shall offend in one, shall lose many good things.


Unto the end; for the octave, a psalm for David: Save me, O Lord, for there is now no saint: truths are decayed from among the children of men.
