Was it not thus your fathers did, when I sent from Cadesbarne to view the land?


9 For behold I begin to bring evil on the city wherein my name is called upon: and shall you be as innocent and escape free? you shall not escape free: for I will call for the sword upon all the inhabitants of the earth, saith the Lord of hosts.


1 But the nation that shall bend down their neck under the yoke of the king Babylon, and shall serve him: Will let them remain in their own land, saith the Lord: and they shall till it, and dwell in it.


They shall all proved together to be senseless and foolish: the doctrine of their vanity is wood.


1 Its harvest shall be destroyed with drought, women shall come and teach it: for it is not a wise people, therefore he that made it, shall not have mercy on it: and he that formed it, shall not spare it.


The foot shall tread it down, the feet of the poor, the steps of the needy.


5 And he said: Attend ye, all Juda, and you that dwell in Jerusalem, and thou king Josaphat: Thus saith the Lord to you: Fear ye not, and be not dismayed at this multitude: for the battle is not yours, but God's.


2 Destroy all the inhabitants of that land: beat down their pillars, and break in pieces their statues, and waste all their high places,


2 And thou be chosen of the stock of Cin, how long shalt thou be able to continue? For Assur shall take thee captive.


7 And the elder bore a son, and called his name Moab: he is the father of the Moabites unto this day.


4 And Moses gave to the tribe of Gad and to his children by their kindreds a possession, of which this is the division.


And in the fourteenth year came Chodorlahomor, and the kings that were with him: and they smote the Raphaim in Astarothcarnaim, and the Zuzim with them, and the Emim in Save of Cariathaim.


And in the way of thy judgments, O Lord, we have patiently waited for thee: thy name, and thy remembrance are the desire of the soul.
