8 Neither shall their silver and their gold be able to deliver them in the day of the wrath of the Lord: all the land shall be devoured by the fire of his jealousy, for he shall make even a speedy destruction of all them that dwell in the land.


9 And they shall know that I am the Lord, when I shall have made their land waste and desolate, for all their abominations which they have committed.


8 Nevertheless in those days, saith the Lord, I will not bring you to utter destruction.


1 And the word of the Lord came to me, saying: What seest thou, Jeremias? And I said: I see a rod watching.


And I bought the held of my uncle's son, that is in Anathoth: and I weighed him the money, seven staters, and ten pieces of silver.


Therefore we have obeyed the voice of Jonadab the son of Rechab, our father, in all things that he commanded us: so as to drink no wine all our days: neither we, nor our wives, nor our sons, nor our daughters:


6 So Jeremias went into the house of the prison, and into the dungeon: and Jeremias remained there many days.


1 And thou shalt drink water by measure, the sixth part of a hin: from time to time thou shalt drink it,


0 Therefore the fathers shall eat the sons in the midst of thee, and the sons shall eat their fathers: and I will execute judgments in thee, and I will scatter thy whole remnant into every wind.


Behold the Lord shall possess her, and shall strike her strength in the sea, and she shall be devoured with fire.
