7 And here is hope for thy last end, saith the Lord: and the children shall return to their own borders.


0 The shadow of it covered the hills: and the branches thereof the cedars of God.


1 After all these things his indignation is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.


2 In destruction and famine then shalt laugh: and thou shalt not be afraid of the beasts of the earth.


And in the sight of the throne was, as it were, a sea of glass like to crystal; and in the midst of the throne, and round about the throne, were four living creatures, full of eyes before and behind.


Then Peter, filled with the Holy Ghost, said to them: Ye princes of the people, and ancients, hear:


8 And he was angry, and would not go in. His father therefore coming out began to entreat him.


Galaad is a city of workers of idols, supplanted with blood.


Their feet were straight feet, and the sole of their foot was like the sole of a calf's foot, and they sparkled like the appearance of glowing brass.


2 And do not bring burdens out of your houses on the sabbath day, neither do ye any work: sanctify the sabbath day, as I commanded your fathers.


9 According to the multitude of my sorrows in my heart, thy comforts have given joy to my soul.


Thou calledst upon me in affliction, and I delivered thee: I heard thee in the secret place of tempest: I proved thee at the waters of contradiction.


4 Turn again, O God of hosts, look down from heaven, and see, and visit this vineyard:


He loveth mercy and judgment; the earth is full of the mercy of the Lord.


4 Follow peace with all men, and holiness: without which no man shall see God.


2 Now know ye the proof of him, that as a son with the father, so hath he served with me in the gospel.


5 Thus hath the Lord dealt with me in the days wherein he hath had regard to take away my reproach among men.


And Asa begot Josaphat. And Josaphat begot Joram. And Joram begot Ozias.


0 From beyond the rivers of Ethiopia, shall my suppliants the children of my dispersed people bring me an offering.


I will draw them with the cords of Adam, with the bands of love : and I will be to them as one that taketh off the yoke on their jaws: and I put his meat to him that he might eat.


And the pride of Israel shall answer in his face: and Israel and Ephraim shall fall in their iniquity, Juda also shall fall with them.


4 And I will fill the soul of the priests with fatness: and my people shall be filled with my good things, saith the Lord.


1 For the house of Israel, and the house of Juda have greatly transgressed against me, saith the Lord.


For this gird yourselves with haircloth, lament and howl: for the fierce anger of the Lord is not turned away from us.


It is commonly said: If a man put away his wife, and she go from him, and marry another man, shall he return to her any more? shall not that woman be polluted, and defiled? but thou hast prostituted thyself to many lovers: nevertheless return to me, saith the Lord, and I will receive thee.


For thou shalt pass on to the right hand, and to the left: and thy seed shall inherit the Gentiles, and shall inhabit the desolate cities.


And now what have I here, saith the Lord: for my people is taken away gratis. They that rule over them treat them unjustly, saith the Lord, and my name is continually blasphemed all the day long.


3 Offer sacrifice no more in vain: incense is an abomination tome. The new moons, and the sabbaths, and other festivals I will not abide, your assemblies are wicked.


Corrupt men bring a city to ruin: but wise men turn away wrath.


0 Judgment determineth causes: and he that putteth a fool to silence, appeaseth anger.


8 She is a tree of life to them that lay hold on her: and he that shall retain her is blessed.


2 My eyes have failed for thy word, saying: When wilt thou comfort me?


1 Truth is sprung out of the earth: and justice hath looked down from heaven.


Thou hast met him that rejoiceth, and doth justice: in thy ways they shall remember thee: behold thou art angry, and we have sinned: in them we have been always, and we shall be saved.


3 And the whole army of his fighting men, that were reckoned up, were thirty-five thousand four hundred.


5 O Lord, save me: O Lord, give good success.


4 They that fear thee shall see me, and shall be glad: because I have greatly hoped in thy words.


Son of man, set thy face toward Jerusalem, and let thy speech flow towards the holy places, and prophesy against the land of Israel:


1 As I was yet speaking in prayer, behold the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, flying swiftly touched me at the time of the evening sacrifice.


And when the sun was risen, the Lord commanded a hot and burning wind: and the sun beat upon the head of Jonas, and he broiled with the heat: and he desired for his soul that he might die, and said: It is better for me to die than to live.


And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers: lest I come, and strike the earth with anathema.


2 But I said in the excess of my mind: I am cast away from before thy eyes. Therefore thou hast heard the voice of my prayer, when I cried to thee.
