8 They also were initiated to Beelphegor: and ate the sacrifices of the dead.


And the wild asses stood upon the rocks, they snuffed up the wind like dragons, their eyes failed, because there was no grass.


Be circumcised to the Lord, and take away the foreskins of your hearts, ye men of Juda, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem: lest my indignation come forth like fire, and burn, and there be none that can quench it: because of the wickedness of your thoughts.


9 Thy own wickedness shall reprove thee, and thy apostasy shall rebuke thee. Know thou, and see that it is an evil and a bitter thing for thee, to have left the Lord thy God, and that my fear is not with thee, saith the Lord the God of hosts.


For thus saith the Lord to me: I will take my rest, and consider in my place, as the noon light is clear, and as a cloud of dew in the day of harvest.


The watchman of Ephraim was with my God: the prophet is become a snare of ruin upon all his ways, madness is in the house of his God.


And give him no silence till he establish, and till he make Jerusalem a praise in the earth.


The sinner hath provoked the Lord according to the multitude of his wrath he will not seek him:


3 But thou, O Lord, knowest all their counsel against me unto death: forgive not their iniquity, and let not their sin be blotted out from thy sight: let them be overthrown before thy eyes, in the time of thy wrath do thou destroy them.


8 Say to the king, and to the queen: Humble yourselves, sit down: for the crown of your glory is come down from your head.


1 Having the glory of God, and the light thereof was like to a precious stone, as to the jasper stone, even as crystal.


0 As they gather silver, and brass, and tin, and iron, and lead in the midst of the furnace: that I may kindle a fire in it to melt it: so will I gather you together in my fury and in my wrath, and will take my rest, and I will melt you down.


2 And after that the camels had drunk, the man took out golden earrings, weighing two sicles: and as many bracelets of ten sicles weight.


So David went up, and his two wives, Achinoam the Jezrahelitess, and Abigail the wife of Nabal of Carmel:


3 And bringing forth vessels of silver and gold, and garments, he gave them to Rebecca for a present. He offered gifts also to her brothers, and to her mother.


0 And when he had seen the earrings and bracelets in his sister's hands, and had heard all that she related, saying: Thus and thus the man spoke to me: he came to the man who stood by the camels, and near to the spring of water,


9 I created the fruit of the lips, peace, peace to him that is far off, and to him that is near, said the Lord, and I healed him.


Therefore at least at this time call to me: Thou art my father, the guide of my virginity:


0 And he said: I will hide my face from them, and will consider what their last end shall be: for it is a perverse generation, and unfaithful children.


And they gave him seventy weight of silver out of the temple of Baalberith: wherewith he hired to himself men that were needy, and vagabonds, and they followed him.


5 Thus shall you say every one to his neighbor, and to his brother: What hath the Lord answered? and what hath the Lord spoken?
