6 You stood on your swords, you have committed abominations, and every one hath defiled his neighbour's wife; and shall you possess the land by inheritance?


5 And I will raise me up a faithful priest, who shall do according to my heart, and my soul, and I will build him a faithful house, and he shall walk all days before my anointed.


2 For I desire not the death of him that dieth, saith the Lord God, return ye and live.


8 And another went by the way of Beth-horon, and the third turned to the way of the border, above the valley of Seboim towards the desert.


Unless the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it. Unless the Lord keep the city, he watcheth in vain that keepeth it.


6 And Samuel said to Saul: Suffer me, and I will tell thee what the Lord hath said to me this night. And he said to him: Speak.


4 The great day of the Lord is near, it is near and exceeding swift: the voice of the day of the Lord is bitter, the mighty man shall there meet with tribulation.


And he said: It is peaceable: I am come to offer sacrifice to the Lord, be ye sanctified, and come with me to the sacrifice. And he sanctified Isai and his sons, and called them to the sacrifice.


7 How long doth this wicked multitude murmur against me? I have heard the murmurings of the children of Israel.


And the people of the land shall adore at the door of that gate before the Lord on the sabbaths, and on the new moons.


9 And Moses spoke all these words to all the children of Israel, and the people mourned exceedingly.


8 Say therefore to them: As I live, saith the Lord: According as you have spoken in my hearing, so will I do to you.


0 And you say: The way of the Lord is not right, I will judge every one of you according to his ways, O house of Israel.
