4 I have heard a rumour from the Lord, and an ambassador is sent to the nations: Gather yourselves together, and come against her, and let us rise up to battle.


Flee and turn your backs, go down into the deep hole, ye inhabitants of Dedan: for I have brought the destruction of Esau upon him, the time of his visitation.


Remove out of the midst of Babylon, and go forth out of the land of the Chaldeans: and be ye as kids at the head of the flock.


They have sent thee out even to the border: all the men of thy confederacy have deceived thee: the men of thy peace have prevailed against thee: they that eat with thee shall lay snares under thee: there is no wisdom in him.


But thou shalt return, and hear the voice of the Lord thy God, and shalt do all the commandments which I command thee this day:


5 I will pass over therefore, and will see this excellent land beyond the Jordan, and this goodly mountain, and Libanus.


3 But if you do not what you say, no man can doubt but you sin against God: and know ye, that your sin shall overtake you.


4 Forasmuch as we have heard, that some going out from us have troubled you with words, subverting your souls; to whom we gave no commandment:


0 But as a woman that despiseth her lover, so hath the house of Israel despised me, saith the Lord.


5 We shall sleep in our confusion, and our shame shall cover us, because we have sinned against the Lord our God, we and our fathers from our youth even to this day, and we have not hearkened to the voice of theLord our God.


0 And I said: Alas, alas, alas, O Lord God, hast thou then deceived this people and Jerusalem, saying: You shall have peace: and behold the sword reacheth even to the soul?


And the Lord hath sent to you all his servants the prophets, rising early, and sending, and you have not hearkened, nor inclined your ears to hear.


2 And of them shall be taken up a curse by all the captivity of Juda, that are in Babylon, saying: The Lord make thee like Sedecias, and like Achab, whom the king of Babylon fried in the fire :


2 And he shall take a multitude, and his heart shall be lifted up, and he shall cast down many thousands: but he shall not prevail.


When their children shall remember their altars, and their groves, and their green trees upon high mountains,
