And a spirit of judgment to him that sitteth in judgment, and strength to them that return out of the battle to the gate.


Who will give out of Sion the salvation of Israel? when God shall bring back the captivity of his people, Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad.


For it is a commandment in Israel, and a judgment to the God of Jacob.


4 You are my friends, if you do the things that I command you.


THEN Jesus was led by the spirit into the desert, to be tempted by the devil.


And many nations shall pass by this city: and they shall say every man to his neighbor: Why hath the Lord done so to this great city?


Do to them as thou didst to Madian and to Sisara: as to Jabin at the brook of Cisson.


3 And at that hour there was made a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell: and there were slain in the earthquake names of men seven thousand: and the rest were cast into a fear, and gave glory to the God of heaven.


5 And all these curses shall come upon thee, and shall pursue and overtake thee, till thou perish: because thou heardst not the voice of the Lord thy God, and didst not keep his commandments and ceremonies which he commanded thee.


1 Until thy mouth be filled with laughter, and thy lips with rejoicing.


8 And thou shalt say to them: This is a nation which hath not hearkened to the voice of the Lord their God, nor received instruction: Faith is lost, and is carried away out of their mouth.


Awake, ye that are drunk, and weep, and mourn all ye that take delight in drinking sweet wine: for it is cut off from your mouth.


He ordained it for a testimony in Joseph, when he came out of the land of Egypt: he heard a tongue which he knew not.


9 Why will you contend with me in judgement? you have all forsaken me, saith the Lord.
